What’s Pouring

Mike and Barbara Corliss of Wintergreen Farm supplied the brewery with 12 gallons of finished maple syrup from their sugar shack in Gorham. Twelve gallons of syrup equates to a whopping gallon for every keg in this batch giving this porter a maplewood earthy nose and flavor with mouthfeel that is distinctly maple.

Lake Trout Stout is a Sebago classic. A midnight black full-bodied nitro stout that is brewed with oatmeal and plenty of hops to
balance the roasted barley. Our stout is an experience that tastes the same way it looks – dark and rich.

Our juiciest hazy New England IPA. Bold, juicy, citrus flavor.

Hazy, but not too hazy. Smooth flavor with classic and new school hops.

Our session IPA, Simmer Down, is relaxing and crushable.

This Norwegian-style IPA uses Lutra Kveik yeast which is quite different than what we normally make, and we use that yeast rarely. The name is also an homage to the Grateful Dead’s Terrapin Station – recipe by Alex whose job is to “shed light and not to master.”

Amber color, malty backbone, and grassy hop notes make it no other.

Named for the classic Star Wars blaster onomatopoeia – this is
another beer to honor our nerd roots. This is the pils you’re
looking for. West Coast pilsners are known for being hopped
like IPAs while maintaining the crisp lager characteristics.

Streets of Rome is an Italian-style pilsner referencing the iconic “When I Paint my Masterpiece” Oh, the streets of Rome are filled with rubble Ancient footprints are everywhere. You can almost think that you’re seein’ double. On a cold, dark night on the Spanish stairs. Inspired by Head Brewer Rusty Packer’s time in the Trastevere neighborhood of Rome.

Stratisfied has qualities of West Coast IPA’s that we love, but with different hopping techniques, modern concentrated hop technology, and a newer hop variety). It’s boldly hopped at 3/lbs per barrel with Strata hops giving it the classic sticky hop kick in the mouthfeel with the tropical fruit, berry, and candied notes associated with newer hop varieties.

Sebago Brewing Company is part of a select set of brewery partners working with Crosby Hops for a practical application of a new variety of hop they developed and are interested in scaling up.

Once experimental hops are determined to have flavors and aromas that brewers like while also having the right growing traits to be success on an agricultural level it will be given a proper name and then introduced on a larger scale.

Originally brewed in collaboration with our packaging crew to help celebrate twenty years of all things Sebago Brewing, Pack in the Day Double IPA is now Back in the Day. Packed with distinctive hop varieties from start to finish, this haze forward NEIPA does not disappoint. Juicy and refreshing.

Low Key is calculated at around 115 calories per 12 oz. We used concentrated hops to make a flavorful aromatic beer that is quick and easy to drink without feeling like anything is missing.

This sour ale was fermented in wine barrels with three Brettanomyces stains for over a year, and then went through a secondary fermentation with sweet cherries for an additional eight months. The extended aging with brett strains and yeasts results in a pleasant tart beer with fruit and wine notes. Although the cherries used came from away, this ale is named after the Cherry Hill Trail system on the property behind the brewery.

Our 2024 Barleywine is aged for 10 months in a selection of bourbon barrels from Widow Jane and Heaven Hills. It boasts bold flavors from the marriage of beer and barrels that are not for the faint of heart.
